Have you ever wondered if you can translate the
- Log in to your MailChimp account.
- Click on “Lists” in the top menu bar
- Click the down arrow at the very right
- Click Sign Up Forms
- Click on „Select“ at the Form Builder
Now you see „forms and response emails“ with a dropdown menu.
Stay on this very first page (Signup form), scroll down, and you will see „Build It“ / „Design It“ and „Translate It“. Click on “Translate it” and set your default language.
I am speaking German; this is why my default language is set to German. Now I can see the English term on the right site and see, what MailChimp has automatically translated. If it the words do not fit, you can quickly change the phrases.
Please note: The phrases you translate will have a direct effect
Sign Up Thank You page
Go to the drop-down menu „forms and response emails“ and choose „signup thank you page“.
Here you can link to your thank you page. Maybe you have created your own landing page and wanted to redirect your subscriber to your self-created thank you page. Please insert your URL to the field “Instead of showing this thank you page, send subscribers to another URL:”.
If you do not have your self-created thank you page, here you can see how the form will look like. Go to “Translate it” to check if it is correctly translated into your chosen language.
Opt-in confirmation email
Go to the drop-down menu „forms and response emails“ and choose „Opt-in confirmation email“. Repeat the steps from above.

You can link to your self-created thank you page by pasting the URL into the field or you can style the MailChimp form according to your needs. Click “Translate It” to translate it correctly.
There are more pages you may want to check if they are correctly translated. Please consider checking the ones placed in “Subscribe” / “Unsubscribe” / “Update Profile”.
